PAULO FREIRE NA ATUALIDADE: LEGADO E REINVENÇÃO

Abstract

Resumo advindo do próprio trabalho: "Este texto apresenta a pesquisa que investiga a materialidade e a reinvenção do legado freireano, na atualidade, em espaços públicos de educação, na realidade brasileira. Tendo como contexto de origem a Cátedra Paulo Freire da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP), essa pesquisa vem sendo realizada, com apoio do CNPq, por pesquisadores de 14 programas de Pós-Graduação em Educação, sediados em 10 estados brasileiros. Este artigo relata o processo e os resultados da 2a edição dessa pesquisa, desenvolvida no período 2012 a 2015. O quadro de referência dessa investigação é a pedagogia freireana, com destaque dos quatro eixos que balizaram a política educacional da gestão Paulo Freire, em São Paulo (1989-1992): currículo, gestão democrática, formação de educadores e educação de jovens e adultos. Duas linhas de trabalho foram definidas para a produção dos dados. A primeira delas caracterizou-se pela análise de dissertações e teses realizadas com e a partir de referenciais freireanos e, a segunda, consistiu no desenvolvimento de pesquisas empíricas. Com abordagem qualitativa, a metodologia incluiu as modalidades de estudo de caso e pesquisa -ação. Este artigo sintetiza os resultados desses estudos, coordenados pela equipe de pesquisadores. Os resultados da pesquisa demonstraram que o pensamento de Paulo Freire continua vivo e atual, oferecendo contribuições relevantes para as políticas e práticas educativas. A pedagogia freireana penetra diferentes áreas e subáreas do conhecimento e se alonga em diferentes campos de estudo, aproximando-se de problemáticas contemporâneas."Summary coming from the work itself: "This paper presents the research that investigates the materiality and the reinvention of Freire's legacy, today, in public spaces of education in the Brazilian reality. Having as it’s source context the Paulo Freire Cathedra at Pontifical Catholic University (PUC-SP), this research has been carried out, with support from CNPq, by researchers from 14 programs Graduate Education Programs in 10 Brazilian states. This article describes the process and the results of the 2nd edition of this investigation, developed in the period 2012 to 2015. The framework of this research is the Freire's pedagogy, especially the four axes that guided the educational policy of the Paulo Freire’s managment in São Paulo (1989 1992): curriculum, democratic management, permanente teacher education and adult education. Two lines of work have been defined for the data production. The first was characterized by analysis of dissertations and theses performed with, and from, Freire's references. The second was the development of empirical research. With a qualitative approach, the methodology included the modalities case study and action-research. This article summarizes the results of these studies, coordinated by the members of the research team. The investigation results showed that the thought of Paulo Freire still alive and flourishing, offering outstanding contributions to educational policies and practices. The Freire's pedagogy penetrates in different areas and sub-areas of knowledge and alongates itself in different fields of study, approaching contemporary issues."
