Resumo
Resumo advindo do próprio trabalho: "O texto apresenta a pesquisa que investiga a presença de Paulo Freire em espaços públicos de educação na realidade brasileira. A pesquisa, de caráter cumulativo, vem sendo realizada desde 2010, com apoio do CNPq, por pesquisadores de 14 Instituições de Ensino Superior, sediadas em 10 estados brasileiros. A referência básica dessa investigação está apoiada na defesa e justificativa de que é possível fazer educação popular na escola pública (Freire, 1993). Dentre a bibliografia pesquisada estão as produções que registram a práxis de Freire, à frente da pasta da educação na cidade de São Paulo. A metodologia da pesquisa busca apreender a práxis por meio da análise de produções bibliográficas, documentos e especialmente de dados empíricos coletados em estudos de caso. O artigo sintetiza os resultados de 19 estudos de caso realizados no decorrer dessa pesquisa, demonstrando como a práxis de Paulo Freire tem sido materializada e reinventada na contemporaneidade."
